Marie S. Byars, 90, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Graveside services and a celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Henry F. Roberts officiating. The family will meet friends from 3 ''' 5 p.m., Sunday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono. They may be contacted at the residence. They ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210.

Mrs. Byars, wife of the late Charles E. Byars, was born in Lakemont, GA the daughter of the late Hubert Emory Shedd and Lena Mae Watts Shedd Worley. She was lunch room server retired from Central Fellowship Christian Academy. Mrs. Byars was a devoted homemaker who loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was a member of Avondale Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Byars is survived by those she loved most, her children, Sue (Lawrence) Minshew, Sandra (Wayne) Watruba, Joy (Grady) Tye, Steve (Kelly) Byars, all of Macon and Sheila (Joe) McAdams of Spearsville, LA ; eight beloved grandchildren; ten beloved great grandchildren; her sister, Jenny Williams of Mableton; her brother, Willie Oris Shedd of Clayton and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the nurses, staff and volunteers of Pine Pointe Hospice for their compassion and excellent care.
